Iván Ferrero has been a language teacher for over twelve years. He is a travel enthusiast who loves world languages and cultures. After graduating in English Language and Literature at Universidad de León (Spain), he moved to the United States to start his graduate and teaching career. He worked as a Spanish instructor at College of the Holy Cross, Southern Connecticut State University, and the University of Connecticut, where he also obtained his MA with a Spanish concentration. After several years in higher education, he became a high school teacher of Spanish and French, where he taught beginner through advanced courses.  

​From a young age, Iván sought to blend his two passions of language learning and traveling. He started off with a study abroad experience in the United Kingdom, and later on continued with several trips to diverse destinations around the globe. Although he keeps great memories from multiple places, some of his favorite locations are New York, Madrid, Paris, Mallorca, Rajasthan, Scotland, Yucatan, and California. Since his early travels, he combined language instruction with opportunities for intercultural immersion. He worked as a group leader for European and American student trips to countries like Canada and France, and he also acted as a cultural liaison for the institutions he worked for. Iván is now thrilled to become a member of Guardian Travel Group to share his excitement for world discovery with others.
