Karen is excited to join the team at Guardian Music and Group Travel.  She is the band and musical director at Mokena School District 159 and has been there since 2012. Prior to that she taught music privately for twenty-two years.  Karen  currently teaches Symphonic Band, Cadet Band, 4th - 8th Grade band Sectionals in addition to her extra curricular classes like the Marching Meteors, Pep Band, and the Spring Musical to name a few. Karen brought the first ever musical to Mokena Jr. High School in 2016.  She also directs multiple musicals for area companies. Karen received her iTheatrics Level 1 certification in Musical Theater and attended the Broadway Theater Workshop in 2020. She is an avid supporter of area music programs and volunteers her time with the high school music programs.  In her free time, she is involved with the many activities of her husband, five children and two dogs.
