Solar Eclipse Experience for Science Students to Iceland 2026

Beyond The Sun: Immersive Science Travel

Science learning should happen in the real world. Let's get out there.

Beyond The Sun: Science Travel by Guardian is a student travel program led by science teachers and professors passionate about connecting high-school students with life-changing experiences based on inquiry and learning in-the-field.

Join us in 2026 as Beyond The Sun students travel to Iceland for the solar eclipse -- and much more!

Science students and teachers from across the United States come together in August 2026 for a once-in-a-lifetime experience viewing the solar eclipse with researchers and educators.

Over the course of the program, students learn from top Icelandic geologists, physicists, seismologists, and more as Beyond The Sun participants explore Iceland's unique geography.

From volcanoes to hydrology, students immerse themselves in authentic learning in the field to take with them for a lifetime.

Learning is about doing. Students build lifetime bonds as they safely and comfortably explore Iceland, interacting with scientists and researchers, and culminating with the incredible total solar eclipse.

Beyond The Sun is a Guardian Travel program, meaning families can count on years of international student travel expertise by teachers. With pricing that includes all program fees and expenses, participants can focus on genuine science inquiry on the ground in Iceland.
